Mojo Monday Week 91

I haven't really made anything all week. I've been organizing my scrap room and a few nights I was just too tired to do anything but watch TV. It's been 100 degrees for most of the week and it just makes you so tired. Thankfully we got the pool up just in time and it's soooooo nice. It's already warmed up a bit too much so I guess we'll have to put the cover on it and see if that will keep it from getting too warm. Here's a picture of the boys in the pool yesterday:

Anyway, on to the card. I had to make a Father's Day card for Brian so at the same time I decided to participate in Mojo Monday and kill two birds with one stone.
I wanted to use the It's a Guy Thing paper from Close To My Heart since I've had it forever. I started with Cocoa cardstock and used my Scor Pal to add diagonal score lines. I sanded them with sandpaper and I love the way it turned out. I added a few pieces of patterned paper, stamped my sentiment on a rectangle and matted it to a larger rectangle. I couldn't decide how to add my ribbon so I finally settled on a photo hanger, and just tied the ribbon to it. I added a couple of Papertrey buttons threaded with twine and was finished. I like the way it turned out but my camera isn't really picking up the color in the card too well. It looks really washed out and I have no idea how to fix that so this is the picture you're stuck with!
