I made this card a couple of weeks ago for Laurel, a friend I've met through my blog. She's very new to stamping so check out her blog. She's doing a lot better than I did when I first started, that's for sure!
All of the products I used on this card are Close To My Heart. I started with a 6" by 6" Cranberry card base and embossed horizontal lines using my Scor-Pal. I sanded them with sandpaper and it turns out pretty well because all CTMH cardstock has a white core. I added a piece of patterned paper from the Let's Get Together paper packet on the left side. The flowers are from the Delight In Everything stamp set and were stamped in Garden Green, Cranberry, and Crystal Blue ink. I sponged the edges with the same color ink to add a little depth. I threaded a few CTMH buttons with DMC floss and added them to the flowers. You can't really see it but there is matching ribbon under the flowers from the Designer Ribbons Garden Green collection. The sentiment is from Made By Me and was stamped on Colonial White cardstock. I layered that on Garden Green cardstock and in each corner cut a small circle of Buttercup cardstock and stuck a Cranberry brad right through the middle. You can't really see it too well from the photo though. I'd have to say that this is one of my favorite CTMH stamp sets and paper packets. They're so bright and cheery and fun to use. Hope you like it.
