My first card

, So, this is the first card I'm going to post. I've made a bunch so I guess I'll add them to my blog bit by bit. Almost all of the cards I make are sent to people. Really it's all I have time for right now. I'd love to be able to make cards just for the fun of it, but with Brian gone and taking care of the kids by myself I just don't have the time.

Anyway, here's a card I did based on a sketch by Jen del Muro last week. Here's her sketch:

This is the first time I've even followed a layout from a sketch and I don't really like my card. Originally I had three Dew Drops on the bottom left hand side. I made the card at night and the lighting in our living room isn't good. I thought they were all the same color but when I looked at them the next morning in the sunlight they were different. I had attached them with glue dots and attempted to take them off but tore the paper so I had to cover it with the flower. So, no more removing glue dots. I've learned my lesson!

Recipe
Stamps: Thank You (Hero Arts)
Cardstock: Aqua Mist, Spring Moss (Papertrey); White (Office Depot)
Patterned Paper: Everyday Blessings (Papertrey)

Thanks for looking,

You are one up on me. I read the blogs but I am not brave enough to have my own. Your card is good. You are kind to share your talents with everyone. God Bless you and your family. I pray He will watch over you as you serve your country.
